THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SOUND IN THE WORLD

Beautifulnow.is is a marvelous site seeking for the most beautiful things in the world.

There are sections on Arts/Design, Nature/Science, Food/Drink, Mind/Body, Soul/Impact and Place/Time.

It´s managed by it’s founder, Shira White, a New Yorker who previously worked in the advertising business.

Beautifulnow organizes competitions online about interesting and beautiful matters.

Recently, they promoted a daring challenge: Find and record The most beautiful sound in the world.

To acheive this, they were joined by two heavy weights of sound: Soundcloud and The Sound Agency.

Besides Shira White, Julian Treasure and Bernie Krause were members of the jury.

Anybody could enter a recording of what would be, in one’s opinion, the most beautiful sound in the world.

The winner was “Dusk by the Frog Pond” a soundscape submitted by “Wild Ambience”.

Wild Ambience is a beautiful sound project created by Marc Anderson, a sound recordist and photographer who lives in Sydney, Australia.

The winning soundscape was recorded by a pond in Sarawak, Malasia, at Kubah National Park.

Beautifulnow organiza também concursos online de temas bonitos.

Recentemente, promoveram um desafio muito interessante: Encontrar e gravar O Som Mais Bonito do Mundo.

Os parceiros forma dois pesos pesados do som: Soundcloud e a Sound Agency.

Para além da Shira White, o Julian Treasure e o Bernie Krause pertenceram ao júri.

Qualquer pessoa podia inscrever uma gravação original, feita por si, daquilo que, na sua opinião, seria o som mais bonito do Mundo.

O vencedor foi “Dusk by the Frog Pond” uma paisagem sonora inscrita pela “WildAmbience”.

Wild Ambience é um magnífico projecto criado por Marc Anderson, um técnico de som e fotógrafo que vive em Sydney, na Austrália.

A paisagem sonora vencedora foi garvada em Sarawak, na Malásia, numa pequena lagoa no Kubah National Park.
